TRE Tension & Stress Release Exercises

TRE stand for Trauma, tension and stress release exercises.
This technique is designed by an Italian doctor Bercelli.
Dr Bercelli developed TRE as a method to help release the deep
tension created in the body during a traumatic experience or
through chronic stress.
The muscle we work on during the series is the psoas muscle.
Also called the muscle of the soul. The red muscle on the picture.
The psoas muscle is deep within our body, this in the tissue
in de hips that makes the connecting between the upper and
the lower body.
The psoas reacts when we experience feelings of unsafety or stress.
TRE is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in
releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma.
The exercises safely activate a natural reflex mechanism of
shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down
the nervous system.
When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a
safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged
to return back to a state of balance.
Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises is based on
the fundamental idea, backed by research, that stress, tension
and trauma is both psychological and physical.
TRE’s reflexive muscle vibrations generally feel pleasant and soothing.
After doing TRE, many people report feelings of peace, deep relaxation
and well-being.
